The sky was the limit at Radiant Health Centers’ Stairway to the Stars gala, where a $755,000 total stunned.
THE PARTY It was a stellar night for the LGBTQ-plus community as Radiant Health Centers hosted its Stairway to the Stars gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel to raise funds for health and wellness services in an environment free of stigma and discrimination. THE SCENE Tony Award-winning singer-songwriter Levi Kreis entertained the crowd of some 300, including NBA star Metta World Peace and RHC CEO Philip Yaeger, as they savored a menu of roasted New York strip and salmon. THE HIGHLIGHTS While Kreis’ soaring vocals impressed, Dr. Vincent “Vinnie” Pompei, director of the Youth Well-Being Project at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, shined a spotlight on the importance of the heartfelt fete. “To truly eradicate the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Orange County... we need to offer specialized medical services tailored to the LGBTQ-plus community,” he shared. Those sentiments, and the generosity of those in the room, sent the evening’s tally to a sparkling $755,000, moving RHC one step closer to its goal of opening an inclusive and specialized health center for all. -Allison Mitchell
