Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society’s guests donned their best ballgowns and penguin suits for a fundraising gala to remember.
THE PARTY It was a wild night at The Breakers, where nearly 400 guests helped to raise $1.5 million at the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society’s tropical safari-themed gala. THE GUESTS In between an exquisite dinner in the Ponce de Leon Ballroom and a spirited live auction headed by auctioneer Jamie Niven, guests were able to get some face time with the stars of the show, the zoo’s animals. Honorary guest Thomas C. Quick took home the Gala Stewardship award for his 14 years of selfless generosity. THE HIGHLIGHTS Co-chair Michele Kessler said, “We shined the spotlight on our Panamanian jaguar, Fiona—her fight for survival and finding her forever home here at our zoo. We also celebrated the openings of brand-new habitats that will draw visitors from far and wide, and continue our over 50-year legacy of excellence in protection, conservation and education.”
