The 1920s Gala was a Jazz Age-themed evening packed with great costumes and even greater fundraising.
THE SCENE Guests traveled back in time to a decade of freewheeling culture, spirit and dancing at the 1920s Gala. Hosted by the Junior League of San Diego, the night welcomed hundreds of enthusiasts dressed in black-tie finery reminiscent of the Roaring ’20s to raise funds for foster youth and to stop human trafficking. THE GUESTS Jacqueline Murray, Carina Affinito and Jen Burton dressed as Jazz Age flappers, sipped cocktails and dined on a gourmet dinner spread. THE HIGHLIGHTS The evening’s theme paralleled F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby with flowing Champagne, endless dancing, and a live and silent auction—certainly an evening that would have garnered Gatsby’s seal of approval. -Claire Harper
