Bill Murray Is the Bard of Napa

The actor recites poetry in Yountville.

No, this isn't the setup for the next Wes Anderson film (as far as we know, anyway), but still, here it is: Bill Murray, with a chamber trio backing him, is about to recite some verse.

The program, called Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends: New Worlds, is part of Festival Napa Valley, running July 14–23. Murray—who often conducts public readings—will take the stage of Yountville’s Lincoln Theater to recite poems by Walt Whitman and read passages from Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, and Truman Capote. In between, Jan Vogler, an acclaimed cellist, will perform as part of a chamber trio. Now, if we could just get Jason Schwartzman on the phone, we might have something here. July 20
