OSL is still a local festival.

Con Brio, the seven-piece San Francisco band fronted by Ziek McCarter, puts out a funky, pop-infused vibe: Think Bruno Mars or early Michael Jackson. Aug. 6

Rogue Wave, the veteran Oakland indie rockers whose “Lake Michigan” was a minor hit in 2013, are back and touring behind their sixth studio album. Aug. 6

Jidenna, the dandy—or, as he’d put it, “swanky”—Janelle Monáe coconspirator and Nigerian American rapper behind the 2015 earworm “Classic Man,” is a Stanford graduate who got his start playing Oakland’s New Parish. Aug. 5

Kehlani, the 21-year-old Oakland-born America’s Got Talent hopeful turned hip-hop-tinged R&B crooner, was nominated for a Grammy this year for urban contemporary album for her major-label debut, You Should Be Here. Aug. 7
