A Grab Bag of Events for ‘Listeners Like You’

Public radio superstars descend on the Bay Area.

Nina Totenberg, Jad Abumrad, and Ira Glass.

The tote-bag-toting crowd should have a blast this month as a trio of public radio superstars hit the scene. First up, Nina Totenberg, the celebrated NPR legal affairs correspondent, speaks January 26 at the JCC of San Francisco. Then, on January 28, Jad Abumrad, one half of the duo behind WNYC’s Radiolab, presents a lecture-slash-musical performance, Gut Churn, at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa. The same evening at the Nourse Theater, This American Life host Ira Glass presents Seven Things I’ve Learned. Sure beats another endless pledge drive.
