Grand Opening Alert: These Restaurants Are Coming Soon

Three much-anticipated openings.

Madcap
San Anselmo
ETA: mid-summer 2017
Ron Siegel made a name for himself in some of San Francisco’s glitziest fine-dining institutions, including the now-defunct Dining Room at the Ritz-Carlton. Located in sleepy San Anselmo, Siegel’s first restaurant of his own looks like it will be a more intimate affair, even as it showcases the chef’s Japanese-influenced California cooking. 198 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. (Near Bank St.)

Les Arceaux
Berkeley
ETA: fall 2017
Micah Diaz and Alana O’Neal, the eponymous sisters behind Two Sisters Bar & Books, are closing their cozy Hayes Valley watering hole to open this French-inspired café and wine bar in North Berkeley. 1849 Shattuck Ave. (At Hearst Ave.)

C.D.P.
Oakland
ETA: fall 2017
James Syhabout will expand his flagship, Commis, by opening this cocktail lounge next door—a laid-back little sister to his two-Michelin-starred tasting-menu restaurant. 3861 Piedmont Ave. (near Rio Vista Ave.)
