Sarah and Evan Rich, the husband-and-wife chef-owners of Rich Table, will open a casual spot serving soups, salads, oysters, sandwiches, and, of course, rotisserie chicken. 101 Oak St. (at Franklin St.)

The Periodic Table

Jake Freed and Hiroko Nakamura, the husband-and-wife team behind Shiba Ramen, will open a beer-and-sake bar near their popular noodle kiosk in the Emeryville Public Market.

Lazy Bear chef-owner David Barzelay and bar manager Nicolas Torres are opening a relatively casual, cocktail-focused restaurant in the former Tradesman space. 753 Alabama St. (near 20th St.)

Reem’s Arab Street Corner Bakery
ETA: Early 2017
Reem’s chef-owner and La Cocina alum Reem Assil is planning to open a Fruitvale bakery that will expand on the traditional Arab street food she serves at her well-loved pop-up. Location TBD
