The latest restaurant from the ever-prolific Adriano Paganini (Beretta, Lolinda, Super Duper Burger) will be an Italian eatery specializing in fresh, handmade pastas. Expect a casual vibe and—in a city where plates of pasta routinely top $25—a relatively affordable price point.

William Lue is relocating his recently shuttered Burmese restaurant from East Oakland to Jack London Square, where larger kitchen digs will allow the chef to add ambitious new menu offerings like alligator stew and osso buco bone-marrow served with danbauk rice.

The second restaurant from Christopher Kostow and the rest of the team behind the Restaurant at Meadowood will offer a more casual dining experience than the chef’s $275-per-person fine-dining flagship. The family-style menu will feature simple “elemental” cooking, much of it done over a live fire.
