If You Haven’t Seen ‘Hamilton’ Yet, You’ll Have a Second Chance in 2019

Just plug your ears till then, K?

It’s 2017 and you haven’t seen Hamilton yet. You got locked out of scoring reasonably priced tickets online when nearly 100,000 people stormed SHN’s website. You weren’t one of the 44 lucky ones who won the ticket lottery and nabbed one for $10, and you weren’t so rabid that you had to join the 500 people camping out overnight on Market Street for a ticket (roofs are nice, right?). Every single time you’ve checked for last-minute availability at prices below $800, you’ve closed your browser in defeat. Sure, all men are created equal, but that promise was never made of the distribution of tickets for hit Broadway shows

But now SHN is dangling a second chance before our poor, musical-theater-deprived eyes: Hamilton will return to San Francisco, the theater company announced today. After the final curtain falls at the Orpheum Theatre on August 5, the show will head to L.A., then Seattle. San Francisco’s reprise will begin in early 2019; official dates and ticketing details are still TBA.

Hamilton at the Orpheum Theatre is gorgeous, powerful and kinetic,” producer Jeffrey Seller said in a statement.  “We look forward to returning and staying for a long time in early 2019.”

Hopefully by then everyone else will have seen it and you’ll have a goddamn fighting chance.
