Rocker Ty Segall Comes Crawling Back to SF

Otherwise know as "pulling a Train."

When last we left rock star Ty Segall, he was part of a 2013 exodus of musicians departing San Francisco for Los Angeles that included the memorable rage quit of John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees. (For his part, Segall moved south to be closer to family.) But now Segall’s back, at least album form.

It's okay, Ty. We know you can't quit us.

Segall is releasing his first album since 2012—and it’s a live recording of a set he and the Ty Segall Band did at the Rickshaw Stop earlier this year. You can listen to “What’s Inside Your Heart” off the new album here at Pitchfork.

The LP is set to be released on January 26th as part of Castle Face’s Live in San Francisco series, which includes sets by Fuzz, OBN III, and White Face.
