Police arrested Pearce, 41, last night. The case will be presented to the District Attorney next week. Pearce has been arrested on five counts relating to the possesion of more than 600 images of a person under 18 engaged in or simulating sexual conduct. The arrest was reported today by the San Francisco's Sheriff's office.

Pearce, an attorney, former legislative aide for the Board of Supervisors, and principal of Left Coast Communications, ran the "Run, Ed, Run" campaign in 2012 which was aimed at inducing the then-appointed Mayor Ed Lee to run for a full term in his own right. Other clients have included Congresswoman Barbara Lee and Supervisor Jane Kim, among several others.
