South Bay Auction Is Going to Let You Buy A Scud Missile

And tanks! Lots of tanks!

This is a picture of a Scud missile that you can buy for money.


Do you want to spice up your commute? Is your Tesla Roadster just not impressing the rest of the Battery Club any more? Well, how about pulling up to your next meeting on Sand Hill Road in a tank. Sure, it's not super environmentally friendly. But it is a tank.

It what clearly seems to be illegal and yet strangely isn't, a South Bay auction of military gear is going to let bidders take home tanks, armored personnel carriers, and even a Scud missile. The 114-piece arsenal was built by a late military collector named Jacques Littlefield. It's said to be one of the largest collections of its kind.

The auction will take place in Portola Valley on July 11th and 12th, but will be open for public viewing on the 9th and 10th.

M4A3(75) Sherman Medium Tank (Estimate: $275,000-$325,000)
M37 105-mm Howitzer Motor Carriage (Estimate: $200,000 - $250,000)
Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. H (Estimate: $2,400,000 - $2,600,000)
M4A3E2 Assault Tank “Jumbo Sherman” (Estimate: $1,400,000 - $1,600,000)
Australian 2-Pounder AT Carrier Anti-Tank Gun (Estimate: $ 75,000 - $100,000)
PT-76B Light Amphibious Tank (Estimate: $200,000 - $250,000)
