For four years now, former L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a Democrat, has been out of office, out of mind—not a good launching pad for the 2018 election for governor. In an interview with This Golden State’s Randy Shandobil, Villaraigosa talks about how he’ll focus on those Californians who feel left behind economically. When Shandobil reminds Villaraigosa that this sounds like a key part of the Trump campaign, Villaraigosa gets a bit defensive.
