Three of a Kind: Pizza

Just when you thought the Bay Area couldn’t possibly stomach more pizza, three new additions have arrived in the past few months, each with its own spin on the pie.

Capo’s (North Beach)

Pizzando (Healdsburg)

Parked below Hotel Healdsburg, chef Louis Maldonado is at the helm serving out of-the-box toppings (think shrimp sausage, potato, ricotta, and lemon marmalade) on Neapolitan-style crusts. 301 Healdsburg Ave. (at Matheson St.), 707-922-5233

Campo Pizzeria (Palo Alto)

In the heart of downtown, celebrated former San Francisco chef Sean O’Brien slings some classics. A mozzarella bar, likely inspired by Osteria Mozza in L.A., is on offer too. 185 University Ave. (at Emerson st.), 650-614-1177
