Warby Parker's School Bus Pop-up Shop Rolls into S.F.

The eyewear-packed mobile showroom is here through May 12.

The Warby Parker Class Trip bus, parked in front of the Conservatory of Flowers for the kick-off party last night.

Specs and sunglasses for sale aboard the bus.

Warby Parker—maker of $95 eyewear beloved by design geeks, thrifty shoppers, and (heyyy, girl) Ryan Gosling—parked a glasses-packed school bus in front of the Conservatory of Flowers last night to celebrate the latest leg of its Class Trip, a cross-country mobile tour hyping the brand's new frames. One side of the bus is lined by eyewear-loaded wooden shelves, complete with narrow counter space and mirrored panels; the opposite half is decked with upholstered leather benches, ephemera-filled glass cases, and vintage books. After trying on frames aboard the bus (and taking hundreds of #selfies) attendees swarmed the Conservatory after-hours, where Magnolia beer and hors d'oeuvres were served among the horticulture and The Postelles played a set out front. Though Warby Parker has an existing San Francisco showroom at The Perish Trust, from now through May 12 you can also purchase any of the latest styles from one of the sweatshirt-and-specs clad stylists manning the Class Trip bus. Hop on at 768 Sansome Ave. (near Pacific Ave.). 11am-7pm: April 10-12, April 17-19, and April 24-26.
