Mark Zuckerberg

Attention, San Francisco. Your neighbor Mark Z.—you know, the white guy who lives in the Mission and works in tech? Wears a lot of hoodies?— has a New Year's favor he wants to ask you. Any books you think he should read?

Seems that the Facebook billionaire isn't content endlessly scrolling through his newsfeed ("Oh man," he thinks to himself as he looks as baby photos and vacation selfies from Bali. "All my friends have better lives than I do," before remembering he's a billionaire, and they don't). So he's decided to start reading books. According to Wired, the boy king has resolved to read a book every other week in 2015, and has started a massive online book club of sorts to keep him accountable. Its first selection is Moisés Naím's The End of Power, a study of organizational decentralization.

It's probably a great book—but Mark, we think you can do a lot better. We hear Rebecca Solnit has a new book out, for example. And that Marissa Mayer book is supposed to be pretty good, too. Dot Complicated, maybe? And there's still time to read The Circle if you haven't already! (Just kidding. Nobody should read The Circle.)

Zuck's got 25 titles left to go, so email us your suggestions at letterssf@sanfranmag.com. We'll collect your ideas, publish the best ones, and then forward it all over to Zuckerberg (i.e. send him a Facebook message).
