The philanthropic set descended on Mountain Shadows to Raise a Glass for St. Jude.
THE PARTY St. Jude hosted its inaugural event, Raise a Glass for St. Jude, at Phoenix’s favorite new venue, Mountain Shadows. Contributions from the fundraiser help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. THE SCENE Set against the gorgeous mountain landscape, the fete was rife with bouquets courtesy of florist Juliet Le Fleur and wine sponsors Westerly Wines, Tamber Bey Vineyards and Wine Cellar Liquidators. Groove of Gilbert and Evan Berg lent their music to the atmosphere, while executive chef Chuck Wiley and sous-chef Chris Brugman sated guests’ appetites. THE HIGHLIGHTS Mike Siegel emceed the evening, which included a story from a St. Jude patient. Jennie Heal led the event’s live auction, and guests were also able to bid on hot-ticket silent auction items as well. After an amazingly successful first year of sipping, savoring and sharing, we have our eyes peeled for next year’s bash. Cheers! -Lauren Loudermilk
