A sleek and successful kitchen design is more than picking the right color or layout. It’s about how the space feels as you live, cook and entertain. The key to elevating this experience? Innovative automation, thoughtful mechanics and intuitive design features—all elements that are core to luxury cabinetry brand eggersmann.

Modern Luxury recently visited the eggersmann USA showroom in New York with interior designers Malorie Goldberg and Ariel Fischer of Noa Blake Design and Sara Touijer to discover how the brand’s cutting-edge features take kitchens to the next level.

Smart Storage Solutions

“We all need more storage,” Fischer says. “But you don’t want to see it.” Walking through the eggersmann showroom, it’s clear that this sentiment is thoughtfully considered in everything the brand builds. Take the deep double drawers in the pocket door unit, for example. Fischer explains that these are great because they provide ample storage space without the bulk or clutter of extra compartments, keeping the space looking streamlined.

Eggersmann’s approach to hidden storage goes beyond the expected, with a focus on stylish yet functional designs. In the entertaining area, upholstered hidden storage cleverly combines aesthetics and utility.

“It makes for a beautiful wall that also serves a practical function,” Fischer adds. This concept is also applied to the brand's glass rotating pantry doors, which double as lustrous mirrors, disguising the kitchenware behind them. When storage is seamlessly integrated into a design like this, every inch of the kitchen not only looks sleek but works intuitively too.

Clean Lines

Goldberg notes a shift toward minimalist, simplistic features in high-end kitchens today. A key approach, according to all three designers: removing the hardware. “The most beautiful thing about this kitchen is that it has such clean lines,” Goldberg says. “Nothing takes away from the beauty of the stone or cabinetry. It’s really sleek.” By eliminating visible hardware, eggersmann’s designs maintain a refined aesthetic that draws attention to the natural beauty of the materials themselves.

This same thinking applies to the absence of countertop overhangs in this eggersmann kitchen. “It’s very modern and cool,” says Touijer. “You can feel the attention to detail; the precision is amazing.”

Thin shaker cabinets and drawers—which feature a slimmer frame than traditional shaker cabinetry—further elevate the style. “These drawers take it up a notch by making them super thin and minimal,” Fischer explains. Every aspect of the unit works together to create a seamless, sophisticated atmosphere, achieving eggersmann’s design philosophy of simplicity and elegance.

Elevated Automation

Eggersmann goes above and beyond with technology that not only improves functionality but also enhances the tactile experience. Soft-close mechanisms, touch or knock-to-open features and built-in charging stations all combine to create a kitchen that's as intuitive as it is beautiful. "Everything is so elevated to the touch," says Touijer, emphasizing how these small but meaningful details enhance the overall kitchen experience.

These thoughtful innovations are all designed with the user in mind, making life easier and more enjoyable in the kitchen. The pocket door unit’s integrated pull-out shelves provide easy access to every pantry item, while the retractable doors concealing the coffee nook click into place and out of the way once opened. “All you have to do is touch something and it does what you want it to do,” Goldberg says. “Eggersmann has thought of everything.”
