THE DETAILS

After years working in the hardware industry, Bryan and Hannah Haynsworth decided to dream up something of their own. “We created The Details to celebrate the subtle elements that define a space and give it personality,” says Hannah of the decorative hardware brand. Launching with four distinct collections— Avalon, Beacon, Descanso and Vallon—the founders draw inspiration from various geometrical aspects of architecture and art. “My goal is to make our hardware feel like a little sculptural element that is small in size, but rich in form,” she adds. True to its name, the San Diego-based brand considers every detail—with a focus on responsible sourcing and plastic-free packaging.

LUCA LANZETTA GROUP

After five successful years in Santa Monica, Italian luxury procurement and interiors group Luca Lanzetta made the move to West Hollywood’s design district. A strategic choice for the brand, “we wanted to be in the company of the leading names in the Los Angeles design scene and immerse ourselves in one of the most dynamic and influential creative communities,” said brand founder, Luca Lanzetta. Spanning 4,000 square feet, the new showroom is exceptionally laid out to showcase high-end brand offerings while allowing space for client meetings. “The showroom has been thoughtfully designed to feel like a true living environment, offering visitors the sense of moving through a beautifully curated home,” he explained. With extensive displays of Rimadesio and Antoniolupi, the two Italian brands are nods to Europe’s exceptional craftsmanship and manufacturing. “Nowhere else in the world is there such a high concentration of technological innovation married with a culture of aesthetic excellence,” said the designer. For Angelenos, it’s now just an arm’s reach away.

LOVERAMICS

Internationally recognized ceramics brand, Loveramics, found a permanent home in Southern California, opening its first U.S. showroom in Downtown Los Angeles. “For us, DTLA isn’t just a location—it’s a symbol of resilience, creativity and cultural depth,” says Loveramics COO Eugene Chan. “While it may be going through a period of transformation and in need of a little push to reclaim its full vibrancy, we believe it still holds the heart and soul of what Los Angeles truly represents.” The brand is all about challenging the norm, from quality craftsmanship at accessible pricing to defying traditional assumptions about artisanal production. “While we deeply respect independent ceramicists, we’ve proven that large-scale production can still uphold craftsmanship and attention to detail,” Chan notes, which allows customers the luxury of readily available inventory. On the shelves of the new showroom are a curated selection of high-gloss coffee and dinnerware, plus the latest collaboration with 2024 World Barista Champion Mikael Jasin—“offering pieces that are both functional and statement-making.”

ESKAYEL

After more than 20 years in Brooklyn, Eskayel founder Shanan Campanaro saw the stars align: to move the business to her native city of San Diego. It’s been one year since she received the keys to the ideal Encinitas office space, and now, the multi-use showroom and studio is in full swing. Previously an eye doctor’s office, Campanaro and her husband, Nick Chacona, have made ample use of the space: A full kitchen, dedicated showroom and state-of-the-art DJ booth now outfit the area, supporting both work and play. Campanaro envisions the studio as more than a workplace, with community-centered plans such as gnocchi-making classes and weaving workshops. “The idea was that my husband and I, after 17 years of grinding away at Eskayel, could have a space that feeds all our interests and connects with the creative community here,” she shares. Her designs, too, are resonating locally, such as her latest San Diego-inspired Sun and Sky rug collection. “I think it’s always had a bit of a beach— but a little more sophisticated—California vibe to it,” she says. “It’s been a really nice dialogue with the California clients.”

SHOPPE AMBER INTERIORS

Though she lost her beloved Palisades storefront in the recent fire, Amber Lewis of home essentials brand Shoppe Amber Interiors didn’t let grief stand in the way of growth. After opening a stand-in shop in Culver City—an opportunity she describes as a “kismet situation”—the brand continued its reach with a Montecito location. “Montecito has always been a favorite destination of mine for day trips and weekend getaways alike,” says Lewis. “The town really embodies the elevated yet laid-back California vibe we love so much.” When it comes to the stores’ interiors, each has its own personality while remaining unmistakably “Shoppe.” To fit the neighborhood they’re in, “The design team really played off the architectural and environmental cues to create something completely unique for the space,” she explains. As for the next opening, Lewis hints, “There are certainly a few locations we’re dreaming about, but haven’t made any official decisions yet—stay tuned!”

KEN FULK

The Magic Factory just added more meaning behind the name. Design force Ken Fulk leveled up his archetypal San Francisco headquarters with an all-new retail experience. “When stepping inside the shop, I want guests to feel like they’re peeking behind the curtain into our creative studio,” says Fulk, who looked to differentiate the concept from its West Hollywood counterpart. The SF location, in turn, is all about rare treasures and beloved antiques. “Located behind handpainted glass doors, this space embodies my private collection: a curated selection of fine art, vintage and bespoke furniture and accessories,” he explains. While his West Hollywood shop celebrates a life well lived, the decision to open in San Francisco was a natural extension of Fulk’s stylishly whimsical narrative. “The local design scene is something I’m very proud to be a part of,” he shares. “It’s an incredible community of creatives, and I appreciate the opportunity to help cultivate that here in my favorite city in the world.”

PHASE DESIGN

2025 marks a milestone year for Reza Feiz’s Phase Design, celebrating two and a half decades in business with a new collection that softens the brand’s signature edge. “There are a lot of hard realities to cope with in the world today,” Feiz noticed, which influenced his choice to lean into soft curves, natural materials and rounded forms to “take the edge off.” The new 2025 designs include three families—Ziba, Doost and Turnabout—that honor the studio’s minimal yet sculptural aesthetic while nodding to current design trends. For example, Ziba, derived from the Farsi word for “beautiful,” introduces angled bases, sculptural backrests and plush seating as a contrast to the brand’s typically crisp lines. While the meaning behind the names played a large role in shaping the new collection, Feiz is quick to acknowledge the broader forces at play. “California and Los Angeles serve as the inspirational backdrop where creatives can draw upon and find endless inspiration.”
