
This fall, the city’s talented designers gathered for a great cause at Modern Luxury Interiors Boston’s To Live and Dine.
Twenty-one of Boston’s top designers brought their talents to the table on Oct. 21st for Modern Luxury Interiors Boston’s inaugural To Live and Dine event. Awe-inspiring tablescapes crafted by each designer embodied various motifs like “Secret Garden of Style,” “Court and Castle,” and “A Harmony of Hues & Heritage,” with the help of vendors Winston Flowers, Designer Draperies of Boston and Landry & Arcari. Beyond the eye-catching tables, the “A World of Good” international-themed event boasted various activations: a rose petal-covered 360 photo booth sponsored by Cumar, Galerie D’Orsay’s latest exhibit by SEN-1 on-site, a silver printable photobooth sponsored by SDi and Newton Kitchens & Design and Landry & Arcari rugs carpeting the floor. The affair was also filled with delectable treats, including dessert from M. Cacao chocolate and a 3-course wine pairing from Podere La Pace. As the evening came to a close, the event raised over thirty-three thousand dollars for the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Bee DesigneBeedesigne.comNO.1: Antiquing Around the WorldInspired by some of the most beautiful places in the world, Brianna of Bee Designe incorporated pieces from vibrant cities, such as Paris, DC, and London, that hold a special meaning in her heart.

Daher Interior DesignDaherinteriordesign.comNO.3: The Magic of MaineIn true Maine fashion, Paula Daher’s table was exactly how it should be. Transporting viewers to the glorious coast of Maine, notes of pine trees, stones and the sea were incorporated, enticing guests to visit their new retail shop in Kennenbunk, Daher had the audience more than excited.

Elisha Daniels Style Studio and Boutiqueelishadaniels.comNO.4: Secret Garden of StyleArtistic collaboration was the theme of Elisha Daniels’ table as she integrated pieces of brilliant independent designers she works with through her posh boutique. Couture jewelry, clothing and accessories were just a few things featured on the display.

Eric Haydel DesignErichaydel.comNO.5: Pull Up Your Chair to Change the WorldHaydel paid tribute to former congresswoman Shirley Chisholm in the most beautiful way. Viewers couldn’t help but feel inspired to make their own change in the world just as Chrisholm did—demanding and determined.

Through customized imagery and visuals, the designer portrayed influences of global philanthropy and hoped that conversations on how to make the world a better place.
Home in Harmony DesignsHomeinharmonydesigns.comNO.7: Court and CastleHome in Harmony Designs created the perfect pair in a seamless combination of pickleball and regalness. Doing what they do best—generating harmony—the table featured green and blue details in reference to a pickleball court with elegant flower arrangements and gold accents to evoke royalty.

Kathryn Hufton DesignKathrynhuftondesign.comNO.8: Support Thy NeighborKathryn Hufton of Kathryn Hufton Design wanted to remind us how talented our New England neighbors are through her table: Support Thy Neighbor. While highlighting the beauty of autumn with regionally sourced flowers and seasonal hues, the region’s most gifted local artists were given the spotlight.

Kenneth Vona & Son ConstructionKennethvona.comNO.9: The Giving TreeThrough green foliage and intricate, rustic elements, this table honored the world’s most important philanthropists following the theme of poet Shel Silverstein. The design was created as a tribute to the generous legacy that these figures left behind and to inspire others further to keep doing good in the world.

Kerri Anastas & Christine NelsonNO.10: Bee Better TogetherIf viewers were not already aware of the power of the honeybee, they were after viewing Kerri Anastas and Christine Nelson’s fantastic design. These creators combined their passion for art to encourage attendees to recognize all the honeybee is—generous, dedicated, elegant and most importantly, a strong leader.

Kristine Mullaney DesignKristinemullaney.comNO.11: Coastal EscapeAfter viewing Kristine Mullaney Design’s tableau, guests were transported to the Nantucket shore. Stunning marine hues and vibrant floral arrangements were just a few details that captured the essence of being on the beautiful island.

Lisa Davis InteriorsLisadavisinteriors.comNO.12: The World of BDC InteriorsBoston Design Center (BDC) wanted to show the world in their display—and they succeeded. Showcasing a global design spectrum, BDC included unique fabrics and a wide variety of carpets, trimmings, furnishings and more through renowned vendors such as Phillip Jeffries, Discover Tile and others.

Mandarin Oriental Mandarinoriental.comNO.13: A World of FansMandarin Oriental’s tableau made its presence known through the brand’s prominent colors and patterns. Deep hues of red, gold and black tied in with silk and chinoiserie designs presented the company well, not to mention the dinner place settings’ Oriental Folding Fans that honored the city’s port heritage.

Maura O’Malley InteriorsMauraomalley.comNO.14: Consciously ScandiMaura O’Malley Interiors emphasized the significance of environmental stewardship through its Scandinavian-inspired table. O’Malley incorporated a neutral palette, upcycled linens and glassware while recognizing the country’s innate beauty. Not only is Scandinavia eco-aware, but it also has authentic design values and a unique aesthetic, which this table highlighted.

Modern Luxury InteriorsModernluxuryinteriors.comNO.15: Vie de LuxTaking its audience back to the Roaring Twenties, Modern Luxury Interiors celebrated the refined and sophisticated style of luxury at their table. Viewers were encouraged to pull up a chair and enjoy the party with black and gold embellishments as they were transported to an era of glitz and glam.

PBF Homespbfhomes.comNO.16: Global MenagerieGuests traveled around the world at PBF Homes’ tableau. Prints, colors and textures from countries like India, Italy, England and the Czech Republic set the scene for this worldly design. A detailed collection of brass animals created the final touches on the table.

Podere La Pacepoderelapace.com/enNO.17: Peace, Harmony, & TuscanyPodere La Pace, translating to “Field of Peace,” represents unity and supremacy as it maintains traditional winemaking practices to produce organic, delicious wines. Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chardonnay were just a few tastes attendees were exposed to at this delectable table as rich Italian flavors were transported to Boston.

Riccardi Boston riccardiboston.comNO.18: 45 Years of Style: 1978-2023Global retail leader Riccardi Boston commemorated their decades-long business at their table, 45 Years of Style: 1978-2023. The design showcased creations like a handmade tablecloth from vintage designer apparel and stylish tabletop items as the team prepared for decades more of influencing designers, fashionistas and others.

Sashya Thindsashyathind.comNO.19: A Celebration of Sustainability and NourishmentSashya Thind’s design featured nutritious microgreens and edible arrangements that represented the ability to grow food with minimal water resources. Through this display, attendees supported the group’s goal of living in a more sustainable world and eliminating world hunger.

Tyger ProductionsTygerproductions.comNO.20: The Many Colors of GoodTyger Productions celebrated the power of perspective at The Many Colors of Good. Guests were invited to move around the table, and when they did, the colors changed too. This dining experience emphasized that alternating positions further alternated attendees’ perspectives, allowing them to see the world in different lights.

Winston Flowerswinstonflowers.comNO.21: A Harmony of Hues & HeritageWinston Flowers put on quite the show with its design of wine-and-raspberry-colored flowers, Dutch Golden Age-inspired fruit displays, Belgium glass vessels and more. The true showstopper was coral-colored Domani Raku pottery pieces in which the flowers were arranged, each holding a unique design with an alluring crackled glaze.
