The Brewer’s Ball pulled out all the stops for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
THE PARTY An impressive list of 1,100 guests filled the National Building Museum to dish out and drink up support for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during its annual Brewer’s Ball, a palatable affair that offered samples from more than 40 of the area’s best producers and 30 equally tantalizing restaurants. On the menu: sips from Allagash, Right Proper and Waredaca paired with oxtail stew from Daikaya and kona-crusted filet from The Capital Grille. THE PEOPLE Savoring it all were emcees Ellen Bryan of TV’s WUSA9 and Lisa Berigan of radio’s BIG 100; co-chairs Dennis and Jennifer O’Leary, and Lynn Rudolph; and folks from sponsoring organizations such as the Beer Institute and Baker Tilly. BEST IN SHOW The event raised $275,000 for the nonprofit’s research to find a cure for the life-threatening disease. And that’s truly in good taste.
