The National Cherry Blossom Festival’s Pink Tie Party feted our favorite time of year.
THE PARTY Spring has sprung in Washington, and the National Cherry Blossom Fest’s Pink Tie Party once again kicked off the lighthearted season in style. Hundreds of revelers donned the color of the eve and headed to the Ronald Reagan Building to mix and mingle, and feast on signature bites from local dining spots like Ocean Prime and Charlie Palmer Steak. Whispering Angel filled glasses with rosé, and cotton candy-clouded cocktails kept things light. THE PEOPLE Jewelry designer Mindy Lam topped off her look with a fascinator, and creative patron Alberto Uclés donned a jacket akin to a work of art. Sue Porter, Evan Ayers and Tiffany Proctor were also spotted amid the ruby-infused affair. BEST IN SHOW For more flower power, DC-based duo NUEX and MGM’s DJ Shelly kept the veritable garden of guests swaying to their beats, and the blackjack and roulette tables had gamers betting it all. A final flourish? The night aided the nonprofit’s programs to make our community bloom.
