Fairmont’s Tickled Pink XV fashion show brought mothers and daughters together for Make-A-Wish.
THE PARTY The Fairmont Washington, DC, Georgetown put on a stylish midday fete for the 15th annual Tickled Pink fashion show. The affair was in partnership with Lilly Pulitzer and showcased celeb mother-daughter duos who donned the designer’s lively apparel, all in support of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Guests snacked on light fare from the hotel’s culinary team (think watercress, salmon and egg-salad sammies) and admired the cheerful ensembles. THE PEOPLE Some of the pairs who took to the catwalk were CBS anchor Lesli Foster and daughter Jordan Mathewson; and NBC reporter Angie Goff with girls Adora and Wren. And NBC-4 chief meteorologist Doug Kammerer was the master of ceremonies. Also in attendance were Carole Margaret Randolph, a local etiquette expert; Lindsay Walker, district manager for Lilly Pulitzer; and Stacey and Addy Flint, the latter of whom was this year’s Wish Kid. BEST IN SHOW The festivities raised $13,000 for the nonprofit, and that’s sure to bring smiles to the faces of the critically ill children with whom the foundation works. -Carly Bandy
